ABAK^®-keyboards
for use in hygienically demanding areas

Desk keyboards are versatile complete input systems with separate housing which is normally made of plastic (TABLA-2, TABLA-3, TABLA-4) or stainless steel (TABLA-6 ).

For higher demands, especially in the medical domain or the food processing industries, we offer our TABLA-keyboards with the following additional properties:

• Chemically resistant decor foil with antibacterial properties
• Housing in special coating resistant to disinfectants
  (TABLA-2/ABAK®, TABLA-3MP/ABAK®  or  TABLA-4/MP/ABAK®)
• Optional stainless steel housing with overlapping decor foil (TABLA-6/MP/ABAK®)
• Mouse substitute system touchpad
• PS-2-connector for keyboard and mouse substitute system, connection to USB port optionally available
• Country-/customer-specific layouts of the decor foil
• Type of construction approved acc. to product standard EN 60601-1-2:2001 (medical)
• A Hygienic expert’s report has been furnished

Chemical resistance to disinfectants

Wipe test In addition to the chemical stains test, a wipe test is carried out. With a cellulose cloth imbued in benzine or alcohol, the coloured surface or the lettering is wiped for approx. 15 seconds with rotating movements and normal usage pressure. When this time is over, there must be no loose items, discolouring or fading of the varnish and/or the lettering.         For surfaces where only surface disinfectants are used, the media of the following group are used:           Alcohol-containing: FREKANOL (40%) undiluted     FREKADERM (80%) undiluted     MELISEPTOL undiluted           Tensid-containing: Teta-S 1%-ig     Teta-clean undiluted           Aldehyde-containing: Ultrasol F 1%-ig     Incidin perfekt 1%-ig         For surfaces of housings, plates and so on, the same media as above are used, and the following disinfectants:           Active chloride-containing: Sporotal 100 (4%) undiluted     Bleach (NaOCl 12%) diluted 20 : 1           Active oxygen-containing: Puristeril 340 undiluted     Peracetic acid 40% diluted 10 : 1   others:         Sodium hydroxide 10 % diluted 10 : 1     Glycerol/water diluted  1 : 1     Citrosteril (24%) diluted 10 : 1 For further information, please ask for our information brochure KDI00043  „Structural varnish 70011.EC“ an
